Complete Dnyaneshwari

We are pleased to present here complete etexts of Dnyaneshwari and Dasbodh. The texts are grouped by adhyAya or dashakas. We recommend the use of Unicode Devanagari display or the PDF/PS files.

Complete Dasbodh

  • The following encoded texts are grouped by dashakas. We recommend the use of Unicode Devanagari display that allows Devanagari search or the PDF/PS files. (The ITX file would be easier for Roman letter/word search using Itrans notation or reprocessing selected text using Itranslator.)

  • shrImad dAsabodh - marAThI gadyarupAntarAsahit are available in two parts on scribd, complete samAs 1-8 (335 pages) and samAs 9-20 (321 pages). These are individually scanned and posted by eko.aham.

  • Shri Vijay Chitgopkar from Nagpur has prepared a Windows based software tool of complete Dasboth with its verse and word indices. Here is the procedure : Download dasbodh2 from eDasbodh on Sudhan Sanganak Pranali or mirror1, mirror2. , unzip it by double clicking, extract all in a folder. In its own DASBODH2 folder, double click on DAS.EXE and you will hear an instrumental audio clip with a fullscreen display of "shukAsArikhe pUrNa vairAgya ...." verse.   • A complete shrImat grantharAj dAsabodha is available at http://www.dasbodha.org in scanned images based format with selectable sections. The book is categorized for pArAyaN, marked so with dashak and samAs. The scans are of high quality. The site works well with Internet Explorer (needs QuickTime plugin for page start-up clips.) It is developed by Satkaryottejak Sabha, Vagdevata Mandir at Dhule.

  • Join the patrAdvAre dAsabodha abhyAsakrama at samarthramdas400.in, a site celebrating 400th birth year anniversary of Swami Ramdas. The site has details of a three years' correspondence course in Marathi for self-study of Dasabodh. (The same text promoting the self study is available at manogat online group web-site.) The course is administered by Shri Samartha Seva mandal, Sajjangad with the help of local chapters.

    The site http://www.samarthramdas400.in also has excellent downloadable collection of books (multilingual) and articles, and long audio and video clips of scholars.

  • Must visit Marathi Vishvakosh site at http://marathivishwakosh.in. So far 16 khaNDas are added. The Marathi encyclopaedia is searchable with unicode support and in clickable format. See the promotional videos and event photo gallery. It is also available in print (old large scape paper and excellent printing) as well as in six CDs format. The first 16 volumes were conceptualized, compiled, and edited by Tarkatirtha Laxmanshastri Joshi. Complete 18 volumes will be online with the help of CDAC, Pune, India.

    The project is undertaken by the Maharashtra Rajya Marathi Vishvakosh Nirmiti Mandal, with Dr. Vijaya Wad being the chairman. Other involved individuals are Mr. Madhav Shirvalkar, Shri. Mahesh Kulkarni, Dr. Snehalata Deshmukh, Dr. Arundhati Khandkar, Prog. R. G. Jadhav, Dr. Bhalachandra Nemade, and current chief minister Shri Prithviraj Chavhan. Maharashtra Government has sponsored and dedicated the project to all Marathi speakers.
